Russell Crowe, Souths

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

They've matched it

Now in all fairness not for one second do I think we would have won against souths but we would have at least given it a good bash!

The competitions are poles apart. This result shows how good Wigan were when they beat Manly and then won in Brisbane - both matches were played under equal conditions and not as a friendly for the Aussies. Had tonight's game taken place on a dry track in June then we might have been looking at a 60-70 point margin.

Unless we start sorting out our game at grass root and junior pro level then we are never going to close this gap!

I have to say i enjoyed that especially as it was a Madge coached team

Being serious though it shows a massive gulf in skill and talent between the NRL and our league. A select 17 from all SL teams would nt have beaten sSydney tonight.

If this competiton is to be treated seriously we need to be able to compete and we cant becuase their salary cap is roughly double ours. Nigel Wood needs to address this but we all know he wont.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
