I agree he is very frustrating but with Charnley injured, Gildart not ready, Thornley injured, what else can we do?
Joel Tomkins and switch Gelling to 2nd row
That is potentially playing 2 players out of position!!

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Gelling is a second row same as Joel. Joel has better distribution but Gelling has the feet. Its a tough one to call as neither is a genuine centre.

Last season at the away London match my son Kai got sick and started throwing up, someone from the Wigan coaching team came across and said "Anthony Gelling just ripped his shorts while getting changed, he wanted to know if your little boy wanted them to cheer him up". Such a nice lad talked to him at the training ground a couple of times, he's like Sam Tomkins as in he'll stay and wait until you've finished talking and not just rush away

That sums him up for me, greatful for the chance to be at such a wonderful club and what he lacks in ability, he makes up for in endeavour and for that reason alone I can never be to harsh on the lad!!

Lacks the intelligence to be a top player.

Booted by Sydney City after he and another player BOTH sober defecated on the floor next to the toilet and on white tables in hotel rooms. This occurred in several rooms.

Should he have learned his lesson from that?

2015 says otherwise. The asinine charge down v Brisbane and now this infantile stunt.

Braindead springs to mind re Gelling and it shows when asked to make on field decisions.

You mean that infantile stunt that got him a standing ovation as he walked of, it was the perfect response to a BS penalty. Keeping to your nothing positive attitude, I bet you were gutted yesterday

Sorry CP but its a big difference from running to charge down a kick to having a full on dump on tables. Has he done anything off the field to disgrace himself and the club since been in the UK.

His problem also stems from then fact our wingers are hugging the touchline not once did Manfredi run inside hence why both went into to touch. Gelling needs to improve his passing at times but Wane needs to get the wingers to move in on occasions.

What infantile stunt? Riding a bike to work? Think the government and pollution indicators would say he is doing the absolute right thing and it's a shame more of us aren't infantile!!

When Hock (Wigan born and bred) misbehaved excuses where made by all and sundry saying how it's his friends fault blah blah blah etc etc, Gelling (Not born and bred in Wigan) makes a few mistakes in games and performs as well or bad as the rest of the team yet is constantly slagged off by the usual know it alls who obviously don't know shit or they would be coaching in the NRL, rant over
