Re: Hampshire
Bilko thought he was outstanding today v Salford even before his try.

Re: Hampshire
His try was excellent from just 20+ meters out in that his burst of pace just left the defence unable to cope.
Come the dry grounds each week, Ryan can have himself a very good season.
Interesting at the end of Waney's interview following the Salford game he says about Hampshire "I'm happy to leave him there" that's kicking and at full back as I understood him to mean!

He'd have to be blind not to see that he is a better fullback than Bowen and a better kicker than Smith.Wiganer Ted wrote:His try was excellent from just 20+ meters out in that his burst of pace just left the defence unable to cope.

Re: Hampshire
With Sam's possible return, where would that leave Hampshire?
Would he go back to just being cover ? And would we be able to keep hold of him if that is the case
I can't see Williams loosing his spot unless he fails miserably this season but so far I can't see it, Matty is still got plenty of time left so unless he moves on, there is no space in the halves
Sam will be at fullback, so Rocky has no postion there either.

Re: Hampshire
I'd run with Rocky and Williams the halves Smith on the bench or away.
Re: Hampshire
Well it ends the Rocky to FB debate. I just hope we offer him a very long contract. Personally the Williams / Rocky partnership is more important than Sam returning.

Williams and Hampshire can be the new Gregory and Edwards partnership. If we can tie Rocky to a long term deal then I think Smith's days are numbered.cpwigan wrote:Well it ends the Rocky to FB debate. I just hope we offer him a very long contract.
