Think about it!

The season is in sections, 2 objectives, 3 if you rate the LLS. Objective 1 has come and we failed just as we did last season. Objective 2, we failed last season, are we going to fail again? or are you going to wait until this halcyon era accrues 2 empty eras? We are well more than halfway through our second marathon and way behind!

Yes we are out cc but the fact is so what... It happens but we still got lls and grand final and to say we are way behind is crazy as we are only 3rd and only 4 points behind leaders. I know we aint playing best rugby this season but we still got rest of season. Look at south sydney rabbitohs who are 6th in nrl and 4 points behind melbourne, dragons and the cowboys who are level. You dont see rabbitohs fans calling for madges head.

Nearly 2 seasons of failure Eccy with the best playing squad and the best facilities / back room staff in SL.

SS play in the NRL. They hadn't won anything for decades, they were even booted out of the NRL previously. They now have a brilliant coach. How does that compare to Wigan?

Im comparing ss to wigan in terms of this seasons positioning so far. Like you said nearly 2 seasons doesnt mean its 2 seasons of failure..writing us off at this time of the season is daft imo.we may have best facilities and staff but that doesnt mean we have a divine right to be winning every trophy and smashing teams.

No one has a divine right. Success is earned and no club has a greater record of earning success than Wigan RLFC. What should be clear to anyone is that the expectation level at this club is higher than other clubs. Mediocrity / 2nd best is not an option. It never has been.

Sorry cp but to me it sounds like your back in early 90s when we won everything (simply because we was only full time club at the time).

Far from it, the history of this club and success dates back over a century and we did so for most of that as part timers. BTW, we only became full time professionals half way into that decade of glory and Leeds were full time / spent more. The full time nonsense is a red herring proliferated by jealous fans from other clubs.

Our history drives our standards and expectations. Anything less is an insult to our past and when we do accept less we end up with dark days like the mid to late 70s and relegation.
