If Gildart is not worth the odd start now why would he be good enough in 2 years time? By the time Renoulf got to Wigan he was finished, about the same as MB.We need to get better trainees and move them out at 21 if not good enough.

Menpond, Renouf was not finished when he was at Wigan. He may have been coming to the end of his career but not finished.

Steve Renouf as he was then playing for Wigan would walk into any SL team today and be a star.

Agreed. He was maybe off his peak, but he was a quality centre who, would be unquestionably the best centre in SL today.

And by some margin.
