Faz Returns for Huddersfield Trip
Shaun Wane has today confirmed his 19-man squad for Sunday's game with Huddersfield Giants.
The Warriors boss makes just one change following last weeks win over Leeds Rhinos at the Magic weekend which sees Liam Farrell come back from a broken nose to replace younger brother Connor.
Liam returns to the squad after a nasty collision with Michael McIlorum in the game with Hull KR last month.
Wane said: "We've a couple of minor knocks, Liam Farrell has a chance of playing - he's fit. We're looking good at the moment. He looks like a proper rugby player now aswell!"
Wane admits he has yet to decide who will play at full-back saying: "The Catalans game was never going to be his one chance. He was outstanding at the Magic Weekend, he was very safe on the ball and he showed what he can do with the ball when he gets it so I'm very pleased with the way he's reacted.
"It's a short turnaround from Huddersfield to St Helens so I need to take that in mind of his age and his legs so if I make a change it won't be through form."
Wane says he is expecting a response from Huddersfield after Coach Paul Anderson criticised his team's second-half performance against Catalans in the 22-all draw at Magic.
"Paul has come out saying he's not happy with their second-half performance so I'm expecting them to come out firing, they are without a doubt a talented team, they pushed a team that beat us the week before. They're very big through the middle, they've got some exciting halves - Danny Brough is playing out of his skin.
"They look very well drilled in defence, they've got one of the best defences in the competition and they're very tough to beat away and at home. They're physical, man for man they are bigger than we are so we need to make sure that we challenge them in the collision. I've a lot of time for Paul Anderson, he's a good guy, he's English and I'm glad he's doing a good job there."
Wigan Warriors 19-Man Squad
John Bateman, Matty Bowen, Joe Burgess, Josh Charnley, Dom Crosby, Liam Farrell, Ben Flower, Ryan Hampshire, Michael McIlorum, Lee Mossop, Sean O'Loughlin, Larne Patrick, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Matty Smith, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Joel Tomkins, George Williams.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Faz Returns for Huddersfield Trip
I don't have any experience of this kind of injury but how can it possibly be O.K. for Faz to play three weeks after breaking his nose?
Can anybody who's done this please explain. I'm amused by Waney's comment about Faz now looking like a rugby player just so long as he doesn't think that he looks like an enforcer!

From those remarks by SW it looks like Hampshire may come in at full back with Bowen returning against St Helens.

Should be a comfortable win. Hudd do not have the depth to cover 3 players missing.

I fancy our back left flank will be peppered with high balls from Brough in this game.cpwigan wrote:http://www.sportinglife.com/rugby-leagu ... ts-changes
