Powell came on and suddenly saints are at our doorstep and Roby is a major threat.

Thats not Powells fault hes not the same player as MM but if i would pull Wane on one thing tonight it was taking MM off we know if you let Roby play hes dangerous so why remove the one player that keeps him quiet.
I honestly thought that he took a chance at Huddersfield, taking him off at a vital point of the game.I thought, after the win, that resting him was a master stroke. He then takes him off way too early. And all this after the pre match interview with mm declaring he wants to play all the game

Sam P tells Wane he is a great coach, that boy is going nowhere as long as Wane is coach.

I feel for Matty Bowen i don't feel he could have dome anything right tonight. Every bounce that could have gone wrong did.

Wane did make one Major mistake and that was giving Micky Mac a rest the moment Powell came on Roby got freedom and Saints started attack alot better. I really feel me made the wrong move by letting Logan go to Salford.

Tomkins failures at centre showed today massively, he on three occasions held onto tje ball to long and when it finally was passed to Charnley he found himself with no space and multiple defenders on him.

We just didnt seem to turn up today. Both teams were poor in the first half but saints fixed it and we didnt. I would like to say just get on with it and get ready for next week. However the saints game are the biggest matches of the season in normal rounds, to fail so badly in a high pressure game makes me concerned about mentality if we do make the grand final.

I don't feel that we should be calling for anyones head. We had a bad day at the office. However we do need to sort out a centre and try someone else at goal kicking. Smith is a good player his in game kicking is fine but a goal kicker he is not.
The problems you mention have been with us for a while and are of Wane's own making and/or his fault for not addressing them.

For instance Powell. Wane wins praise for not subbing Mick mMac the other week by the clock so what does he do this week? Reverts to type and subs Micky Mac in a high pressure game for Powell.

Then he actually selectis Powell in the first place who in my opinion has done nothing to merit selection whatsoever.

Centres? Wane goes into the season with two inexperienced centres and the third long term injured. Why is anyone surprised this position is a problem? I said it would be before the season started and you don't have to be a John Monie clone to have worked that out.

Goal kicking? Another long term problem not addressed.

The biggest issue though is how the team has, several times this season, looked devoid of ideas. They don't look like they know what they are doing.

All these things have happened more than once and if as some like to suggest it is all the players fault and not Wane's why is he there and just what is his job for?

Cue someone telling you he was selected for England so he must be good. :badg:

Thornley and Gelling centres when fit and Sarge FB.

Rocky is more of a liability than Bowen and that saying something after tonight[/quote]

Totally agree Sargison to Fullback Hampshire is NOT a Fullback, he's a standoff. Must agree with CP Joel is not a centre, and once we get some centres back he needs to be moved into the pack and would put Bateman in the centres.

The whole momentum of the game changed when TT gave away a pen under our sticks.
The Saints pack was getting battered at that stage he gifted them the extra set and score.

TT did put in a lot of effort and played his heart out.
To try a turn a player when the ref has called the tackle number is very poor. That's what he did and why he was penalised.

That gave Saints belief when before that they had none.

Mistake letting Logan go to Salford. In my opinion a far better sub hooker than Powell.

....and up until that point no WANEBALL is sight!! That penalty then led to more and also errors etc. Roby was being marshalled by MM as usual!! I think Powell coming on against Hudds with MM having a slight leg injury has backfired on us tonight because Wane thought it was ok to use him and it backfired!! Having said that with all the errors would we have won? Probably not!! MM made a few himself!!

Too be fair,I don't think making sarge take the first hit up in our own 25,does him any favours.I think this is highlighted when we shift left on the 2nd or 3rd tackle. He looks knackered when on the offence, because of this. For me, a forward, that plays only 20-40 mins a game ,would be better doing the hard yard stuff. This was highlighted when he kicked ahead and masoe beat him to the ball
