Is Wane the right man to coach Wigan?

Hence the reason you wont find much self-criticism from the man.
It's not his fault, it's the players.

If IL decides that we need a change it is quite likely SW will move to a Director of Rugby position at Wigan.IL and SW are very close and I very much doubt that Wane will be sacked.

To be fair, following his 'overseen' comments on Bentham - perhaps he should be put in charge of referees.

Listening to tonights first half v Salford, somethings got to give soon.
Booing from the crowd? Not a good sign.

Sooner Wane goes the better.

Ditto, but it's got nothing to do with what any of us think.medlocke wrote:I really hate to do this, but i'm starting to think your right :conf:cpwigan wrote:Sooner Wane goes the better.
Tonight's game has made me wonder what the players are thinking amongst themselves.
Is this 1994 all over again?

Wane is under immense pressure, and it's beginning to get to him - Did you see his response to Harris tonight?
Obviously this is rubbing off on the team.
There is something going on here and it's pretty much firmly set in I am afraid.
At one point there were 8 Wigan players BEHIND the Salford defensive line.
If I were Wane I would be VERY worried. It was not a "must win" game, the rules of the competition dictate that.
Re: Is Wane the right man to coach Wigan?
Not really. If it were Wane would be an irrelevance already. We haven't got the same number of senior players nor many with as strong a character as the likes of Edwards. I doubt if say Lockers and MM are fed up they can lead a coup. Not enough potential allies. I don't see the likes of Smith joining in nor the young players nor any signed by Wane such as Clubb.Kittwazzer wrote:Ditto, but it's got nothing to do with what any of us think.medlocke wrote:I really hate to do this, but i'm starting to think your right :conf:cpwigan wrote:Sooner Wane goes the better.

The problem now is the opposite. Our players are too compliant. Wane sign them / picks them that way. Sadly the game plan is so crap the players look like mugs and become tired as they struggle to control games. Lockers has a right to revolt but will not IMO which makes him a mug as Waneball has shortened / damaged his playing career.
