Re: Thornley
Not a bad move for him or for us IMHO. He's been out a long time and needs a few miles on the clock before he turns out for us
Re: Thornley
I think he's leaving at the end of the season, so he won't be turning out for us again. Might be wrong though.i'm spartacus wrote:Not a bad move for him or for us IMHO. He's been out a long time and needs a few miles on the clock before he turns out for us
Re: Thornley
Should have played him at right centre.
Re: Thornley
His contract is not being renewed, he is leaving at the end of the season.

Re: Thornley
Not bothered about him leaving whatsoever.
However, this does leave Wigan short of players for that position and I really, really, really hope we are targeting this position for recruitment for next season.
Sarginson may (or may not) have been made to stay at the club by us taking the last season option on him, but I for one would have doubts over him playing to his potential with him not intending to stay longer

Oliver Gildart! Out & out centre

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Whilst I personally was impressed by his stint at Salford I'm not sure he is ready for a full season at centrejosie andrews wrote:Oliver Gildart! Out & out centre![]()

Re: Thornley
After the Roosters game last year we were told that the club were looking to "size up". Meaning we were after taller, bigger players.
Thornley is 6'5" so it seems strange we are not re-signing him.

It's heavily reported that short arm's arms have shrunk over the last couple of days so I really really really really really really really think that we can forget targetting anybody for this position for next season.butt monkey wrote:Not bothered about him leaving whatsoever.
