"Short arms"? However, this does leave Wigan short of players for that position anda I really, really, really hope we are targeting this position for recruitment for next season.
Sarginson may (or may not) have been made to stay at the club by us taking the last season option on him, but I for one would have doubts over him playing to his potential with him not intending to stay longer
Thank goodness the tooth fairy is still alive and kicking.

Anyone who calls IL tight then please feel free to call him an offer him a million or so to help out. The club made a debt last season i think who covered it. Was it either of you or IL.
If it is anyone of you 2 then thanks.

Sorry BM too tired to read things properly. Hate Summer change shifts and on day off feel knackered.TrueBlueWarrior wrote:I think BM was defending IL!!thegimble wrote:And i guess its a lot less than IL does.Wandering Warrior wrote: Ditto? Perhaps more than you over the years!

Just to make life more confusing. Prior to the Widnes match SW was on Wish FM and said (as best I can recall) - "Thornley will be playing a lot of matches at Workington because he's had serious injury for a couple of years."
Which seemed sensible. He was then asked about transfer rumours re Thornley and said "Transfers are nothing to do with me - it's all down to Rads. And anyway if Rads decides he can go, it won't matter because we're well covered in that area."
Sort the bones out of that.
I assume next season we'll have Charnley (if he wants to stay) on the right with Gelling and Sarginson and Manfredi out of position on the left flank.
And if we're so well covered, how come we have second-rowers having to fill in at centre?

Because of injuries in most cases, suspensions and it is nothing new for a Back Row Forward to play at Centre at clubs.Southern Softy wrote:Just to make life more confusing. Bill Ashurst did it on many a occasion in the past for Wigan and more recently Ablett/Delaney have done it at times for Leeds.
Lots of examples, both past and present and doubt in the future when in emergencies require it.
