Lockers retiring, Greg Burke returning
Re: Lockers retiring, Greg Burke returning
Mal Reilly was arguably world no1 at LF at a time we were competitive with Australia. Burke could do the same?

Will Greg Burke show the same presence on the pitch and display skills that Lockers has provided?
Lockers is one hard act to follow.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Lockers retiring, Greg Burke returning
lockers does bring a lot to the team just with his presence alone
Re: Lockers retiring, Greg Burke returning
Burke dropped by HKR for cup semi with Warrington.
Could never see Lockers being dropped for a big, one off game. His influence alone is impressive.

Re: Lockers retiring, Greg Burke returning
have they done this because he is coming back to Wigan though and feel like they should give someone else the privilege of playing in a CC semi
Re: Lockers retiring, Greg Burke returning
Wouldn't suppose HKR would think like that,Bomhead. One big step from Wembley and you'd pick your strongest team, there's no second chances and they need 80 minutes from their best combination.

When I saw him on TV playing for KR I thought he was podgy and not an athletic shape at all, generally felt that he had gone backward sharply whilst in Hull.bomhead wrote:he is a lump of a lad as well we need some size

Perhaps that's the reason he has been brought back as the Robins saw him as a Prop and never a Loose Forward?ian.birchall wrote:When I saw him on TV playing for KR I thought he was podgy and not an athletic shape at all, generally felt that he had gone backward sharply whilst in Hull.bomhead wrote:he is a lump of a lad as well we need some size

Be interesting to see if he makes the HKR squad for Wembley.Nezza Faz wrote:Burke dropped by HKR for cup semi with Warrington.

If he's been a regular for them I don't see why he hasn't got a chance but don't forget he is a young player and so I really don't think your comparison with Lockers is fair.
