NRL on SKY is provided by Premiere Sports on Channel 428 for standard definition and 462 for HD. There is a subscription required I don't know how much though. The phone number to subscribe is shown when you select one of their channels.

Gruffy Sky provide Premier Sports as an add-on cost approx £10.00pm
Re: NRL on tv
Bargain too. Only problem is, that once you start to watch NRL, Super League, apart from the odd few games, pales in comparison.

The same could be said about football in our country which like the NRL in New South Wales and Queensland is the major Winter team game.jobo wrote:Bargain too. Only problem is, that once you start to watch NRL, Super League, apart from the odd few games, pales in comparison.
The game in this country will never compete with the NRL as they can produced more class players than us which results in far more good teams.

Agreed and that also helps the way the game is refereed too it is far better, it flows and does not get hung up on silly things like ours doesWhelley Warrior wrote:The same could be said about football in our country which like the NRL in New South Wales and Queensland is the major Winter team game.jobo wrote:Bargain too. Well i got it and got a decent deal on it too a tenner for 3 months so happy enough with that.
As for the couple of games ive watched first is the speed and skill involved, while im sure not all games are like those the speed is frightening compared to SL and they're pretty handy throwing the ball about too.
Good to see Sam T first up this evening even if warriors got hammered and be reminded that Gareth Widdop is pretty handy too.

Ive yet to see a bad game, the quality, fitness and speed of games is streets ahead of SL. Some of the skills and tackles you see are truly unbelievable. Well worth the money and the Footy show puts boots and all to shame, its about as far behind as our game is and that's down to the tossers who control our game.gruffy wrote:Well i got it and got a decent deal on it too a tenner for 3 months so happy enough with that.

Perhaps its the fact that in Australia where Rugby League is played, the game along with Aussie Rules and Cricket are as big as Football in this country and like Football here has far more youngsters playing from a early age to fill more quality teams than we have here.slimshady wrote:Ive yet to see a bad game, the quality, fitness and speed of games is streets ahead of SL. Perhaps we also could have better quality teams if our game faced up to the fact that today, we have too many clubs for the number of quality players in the game and the number of people watching it. 16 clubs in Australia, but 36 in our game. A few seasons ago, mergers took place in the Sydney area but did their game consult the supporters?
No, they just went ahead and did it to form stronger clubs, the result being a better and Stronger NRL like you are watching.
As for the 'Footy Show' being better than 'Boots N All', surely the blame for that rests with Sky and its presentation of our game, especially when they are unlike Australia are more interested in Football as proved when you watch Sky Sports News every day.
Our game will never compete with Australia now as we have too many Owners/Directors, even some supporters living in the parochial past and clinging on to sentiment and tradition and not taking drastic measure to alter and improve our game.
