So you are telling me that the injuries listed above by DaveO over the past 2 seasons are more than the injuries we have received during games? Absolute rubbish!!butt monkey wrote:Well DaveO is spot on with this and I agree with him totallyTrueBlueWarrior wrote:So 5 training ground injuries in 2 seasons that have been mentioned in the press, the rest you are just deciding yourself happened in training without any FACTS!! As I have always said our training injuries are not the problem you make them out to be and I guarantee that other clubs in SL have the same if not more than us, so I guess they all need to change their training methods!!DaveO wrote: You gave me three examples yourself! Another off the top of my head would be Thornley who got his knee injury in Sept that ruled him for 9 months guess where? In training.
Sarginson got a groin injury - in training before the start of the season and missed the first three rounds because of it.
In April Josh aggravated an ankle injury in training when Gelling got injured ...."However, Wane would still have opted to switch Tomkins to the threequarter line and says England winger Josh Charnley would have been the other option for centre had he not aggravated an ankle injury in training.
Lockers missed the game we lost to Wire with a thigh injury (don't know if you meant that one yourself), picked up in training. No big deal having your captain missing for a derby I suppose.
If you look at the previous season there were plenty of examples then as well. For example you will find both Taylor and Dudson were ruled out of selection for the same game due to training ground injuries. Faz did his hamstring in training and Bowen his knee.
They are a regular occurrence. Fact.
1 serious injury in training to Thornley that could happen to any player in any team in any sport! The rest are all knocks that happen again to all other clubs/players especially in a contact sport like RL!
We have had far more injuries during games in recent years as I have mentioned many times in the past, the day we are getting more from training than in matches is the day I will be worried!
We as a club have considerably more players ruled out through training ground incidents than we actually do in any competitive fixtures. Like it or not - that is a fact
You are wrong, we have had far more players injured during games than we have during training, that is a fact!!
