Did this whole RFL conspiracy to give Leeds whatever they want thing get put on hold for the game at the DW then?

Re: Are RFL Referees Bent or Incompetent?
RFL do not want to make it that obvious so they let them lose 1 game and allow 1 bad decision per month.MjM wrote:Did this whole RFL conspiracy to give Leeds whatever they want thing get put on hold for the game at the DW then?![]()

When Leeds director Hethrington sits on the rugby league committee, what do you expect , had Silverwood to this. I feel sorry for the true rugby league people the fans that pay good money to watch people rob them of a fare game.

Re: Are RFL Referees Bent or Incompetent?
People make errors and simply put, referees make errors too.
However, the main contention I have over every other decision was the rubbish that was the try on half time. If Sinfield did not knock that ball on then there is no such thing as a knock on any more!
A few years ago Wigan got beaten by Leeds in the Cup and Thaler was the referee. Leeds got a few very dubious decisions in that match but one incident stood out. A blatant knock on was ignored and waived "play on" by Thaler. When asked about it he said it was "accidentally knocked on" and such was "ok" - That was his excuse and Wigan did not have Thaler referee them again for the rest of the season.
I can accept the referee making an error, like I said, but why the video ref ignored that knock on was disgusting and blatantly wrong when you have such technology at your disposal and still make the wrong calls

Re: Are RFL Referees Bent or Incompetent?
The problem with our game is that the match officials live in the same parts of Lancashire and Yorkshire as the clubs, unlike Rugby Union and Football where appointed officials are from more neutral locations.
In our game, it must be difficult not to lean towards a home crowd at times, or is it at Headingley?

I seem to remember from the Leeds game where they were awarded a (tap) penalty?
Danny M played it, then King Kev indicated he wanted to kick for goal which was allowed!
Maybe I'm seeing things

Silverwood St Helens v Huddersfield - What a difference a week makes!
Is it just a bit too cynical to suppose that someone at the RFL has 'had a word?'

Towards the end of the first half I was convinced he was doing his best to help the Stains, second half seemed to balance things up a bit
