2006 Squad, looking good

CALDERWOOD
ORR

NEWTON

HOCK
FLETCHER

BROWN
SCULTHORPE
PALEAAESINA
TICKLE
GODWIN
HARGRIEVES
HANSEN
MELLING
COLBURN
COYLE
GLEESON
GOULDING
TOMKINS
MCILORUM
WALKER
ASHTON

This is a 29 man squad and with one more signing that would make our 30 man full time squad complete.

This would mean the following players will be leaving:

Aspinwall
Wild
CARNEY
Guisett
Beswick
Allen
williams
Prescott.

If we fail in any attempt to sign another centre / threequater i wouldnt mind keeping aspiwall as a squad player but the rumours are he is going to huddersfield.

Given a bit of luck with injuries this squad could well be challenging for silverware next season.

Guisett and Carney are already leaving.
Beswick will probably be released but Allen Williams and Prescott can still play in the academy I think.

Millward will keep Wild because he can play at Centre Stand Off & Loose Forward and he's a better player than he has shown this season (After all he could end up Wigans only represenative in the GB squad, now Rads and maybe Newton are out).

And that would prove just what a terrible season we have really had!

Has Wild not been linked with a move to Hudds along with Aspi?

On keeping Wild it would depend for me on how much money he's on..would only be a cover player next year, so no point giving him lotsa money to warm the bench and ride on of those bikes that never goes anywhere.

Injuries aside ( :eusa10: ) we do look strong for next year though!

I'd be surprised if Prescott were leaving, he's only played 1 1/2 games in the first team and was very impressive in the short amount of time he was on the pitch. I'd be considering him cover/replacement for Scully when he gets injured again. Can't really argue with the others going though.
