Yet another Sam Burgess rumour
Yet another Sam Burgess rumour
Can't see it but one of my Wire supporting pals has just said there's a rumour on Warrington Casuals that Leeds have offered Watkins to Bath in exchange for Sam Burgess. Thought he was top of Dr Koukash's shopping list

So therefore would require a centre? Konrad Hurrell anyone?

Re: Yet another Sam Burgess rumour
I honestly cannot see Sam going anywhere but back to his family in Australia, also they have the cash to outbid Leeds for his contract. Maybe its Leeds way of offering their player to RU to raise funds for Hurrell.

As you probably guessed it was a tongue in cheek comment but the outcome is more likely to be there than this side of the hill!!

Re: Yet another Sam Burgess rumour
Well the rumour going the rounds is that Joe Westerman was all set to sign for Leeds BUT for the fact Leeds would not pay a transfer (or at least the £150k Hull were after).Dorsey wrote:Can't see it but one of my Wire supporting pals has just said there's a rumour on Warrington Casuals that Leeds have offered Watkins to Bath in exchange for Sam Burgess. Now Westerman appears to be set to join Warrington. Looks Like Mr Hetherington is attempting to rebuild Leeds on the cheap

Re: Yet another Sam Burgess rumour
Sam Burgess was at the England v France game today. He appeared to be a bit put out when the fans wanted pictures & autographs because he was with a very glamourous lady friend who was wanting to leave immediately!
He kept walking all the time as fans were trying to keep up with him to get their souvenir pictures & autographs
Was left very disenchanted with his attitude if I'm honest

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Perhaps it was because of the way he has been treated in the Union game, Josie.josie andrews wrote:Sam Burgess was at the England v France game today. Or was it because the glamouous lady did not want to be seen with him in public for some reason!
