I have to say it is a tad annoying that Sam was signed and this injury which according to the report has been there since the start of the NRL season, that Sam was trying to play for England and this was not discovered, that Sam will now miss pre season / early season and developing a game plan / plays etc.

Do we get a discount or is it buyer beware

Last season we went without injury to our halves. I do hope next season is the same but you never know.
Should either Williams or Smith cop a knock then it will be interesting who will go into the halves. Would it be Hampshire or Powell who has been going as interchange 9.

The best option to me would be Hampshire going to stand off and Tierney to full back which has always been their positions, both getting game time.

Why Tierney? I see his name mentioned every now and again but is he remotely good enough for SL first team football?

Is it not time he was let go along with several other players of a similar age who have failed to break into the team?

We seem to have quite a few of this generation who are on the books but don't look like ever making it either because they aren't good enough or because others have the first team slots nailed down.

If they are 19-20 and not pushing for a spot in the 17 week in week out then they needs to be removed from the wage bill. Very rare will a player break through after that.

And that includes Rocky if he is not in the line up season after this he needs to go so the wage can be used for areas where we can bring in better quality.

Hughes had to go as he was not getting into the side anytime soon on a regular basis. I am not saying get rid in the trems of out of the club but they needs to assessed on week in week out playing in SL on loan to other clubs.

Look at Burke I know he was starting to think he was not going to comeback and was worried he would have to move permanently but the loan did him some good.

No, Hull KR wanted to sign him permanently; Wigan told KR he was still part of their plans and would be returning to Wigan.

Got an email off the club.

Hampshire has extended his contract to 2018 and is off to cas on loan specifically to get time at half back.

Good news and good for Hampshire I feel.
