Makes me laugh that Wane has realised his methods of warm weather training haven't worked so he reverts back to Madge's pre season training methods.

Don't think anyone has had a go about cost cutting. Been offered as a possible reason but no criticism has been offered.

Staying in UK should stand us in good stead against Catalan Dragons (first home game). Hopefully we will be used to the crap/cold weather whilst the Dragons will have flown in from the warmth.

As professional rugby players who have been playing the game for god knows how long I do not think a few days here or a few days there makes any difference as to "How used to the weather we will be."

I think the deciding factor should be "which environment/trip will get the players fitness up the most and allow for the greatest preparation required to the season."

The holidays to Florida, meals out, wrestling sessions quite frankley are a load of rubbish.

As one of those who in past years stood on terraces in the freezing cold, pouring rain, high winds, mist and snow watching what in some cases, were games played in mud, I can only conclude that that your comment was tongue in cheek.

If serious, I for one do not want to go back to those days and summer rugby is all right for me.

My only niggle is that the official season should start later on the first weekend of March and end on the last weekend of October with the Grand Final.

The Canaries jolly was cancelled by Madge before he got on the plane. He replaced it by training in the Scottish Highlands which Paul Deacon said was the toughest pre season of his career. Didn't work out too badly!
