Very impressed with how Sheens has drilled his side they look sharp and slick this year and could make the top 8. Slow performance from the Warriors but that's what these pre-season games are for. Joel & Moose looked lethargic and may need a good month before they are up to standard I wasn't overwhelmed with any of the forwards to be honest. Flower decided to get going in the last 5 minutes.

Only a friendly and we have played most of those with only Sam Powell as a half.

It was a poor effort but we've seen plenty of those in pre-season. In fact I think in the years we've won trophies we've lost most of our pre-season games, so it's certainly not unexpected.

It's difficult for players to really grow into the game when they are undercooked and it's a friendly. By the time players are getting more comfortable after around 20 minutes there's a whole host of subs coming on and it disrupts the team. It's more about getting some minutes in for those who need them.

The defence was weak, but we did have a few players who look at least a year off first team level. Salford have recruited well so there were a few mismatches. I rate Gregson, but he looked like a boy up against Murdoch-Masila.

Flower and Clubb were impressive. Flower has been the best player in pre-season without a doubt and really looks up for it. I thought Charnley and Manfredi did well.

Tierney looks as weak as ever under the high ball and also gave away an interception, but then made up for it with an excellent one on one tackle on Carney. He inspires no confidence whatsoever though.

Ganson continues to impress me. He's still a few years off being ready for the first team but his passing is very accurate.

Sam Powell was more miss than hit today, but once again it's very hard for him to do much at halfback with the team struggling to make ground in attack. Williams going off made his job even harder. What he does deserve praise for is his defence. He was outstanding against Leigh and outstanding again today. He makes crucial tackles and great reads. In this one area at least he is well out of Smith's league.

I agree his passing is very good quick and accurate.
