Warriors name squad for Dacia World Club Series Clash

Wigan stick with same 19-man squad with George Williams fit

Wigan face Brisbane at the DW Stadium on Saturday night, 8pm kick-off

Wigan Warriors have today named their squad for the Dacia World Club Series clash with Brisbane Broncos.
The Warriors, who have won both of their opening games in Super League games in 2016, have named the same 19-man squad as last week.

George Williams was a late withdrawal

Shaun Wane said: “George was 50:50 last week but we decided not to risk him, he’s good to go now and has trained well this week.

“The players have all trained really well, they’ve not needed any motivating at all for this game. We’re pumped and ready to go!

“It promises to be a great night at the DW with a big crowd, we can’t wait to get out onto the field now and go head to head with Brisbane.”

Wigan Warriors 19-man-squad

John Bateman, Gregg Burke, Josh Charnley, Tony Clubb, Liam Farrell, Ben Flower, Anthony Gelling, Oliver Gildart, Willie Isa, Dom Manfredi, Michael McIlorum, Sean O¹Loughlin, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Matty Smith, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Lewis Tierney, George Williams

Wigan face Brisbane in the Dacia World Club Series on Saturday. Tickets start fro, £22 for adults and £15 for concessions and are available online HERE. From the DW Stadium Ticket Office and the Ticket Hotline – 0871 6633 552.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Interesting to see if we start with the same line up. I would opt to start with Clubb.

I would've picked Mossop, I thought he did enough in the reserves game v St Helens to force his way in.

Heard Josh Charnley is out with a jaw injury, Oliver Gildart to replace him on the wing

George Williams is playing.

Is it fair to say that English teams are beaten before the game even starts ? they seem to be totally in awe of the Aussie teams.
