==phild1=take the halfback pairings of leeds, saint'sand wigan you couldn't get a creative pair out of any of them. Rugby league here needs a complete overhaul.it was a good training session for the three visiting teams before the get their own campaign underway. Love to watch that class every week!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can Phild, sign up to Premier Sports and watch every game in the NRL season. The quality is fantastic.

Gelling seems to be the only player that troubled the defence and he didn't defend too badly considering how many times the Broncos managed to create an overlap.
Gelling was awful. When he gets the ball we have a Wigan team consisting of one player. He may be big enough to carry a few players with him when he runs in but the attack dies with him being tackled 9 times out of 10.
If Gelling was awful how did you rate the rest of the players?
Poor apart from Bateman. Faz did try in the 2nd half which is why I think this thread exists but quality wise we were just poor everywhere.

We were not all that poor for the level of our game, just like Leeds and St Helens, simply outclassed by Aussie teams who are bigger, stronger and more skillful in all deparments and no matter what we do, we will never compete with the Aussie teams on a consistant basis as they play in a more competative league competition and produce far more quality players than us.

The drying up of players from down under coming here at their peak and top Union players, especially from South Wales is not helping our game to strengthen at club level.

Plus the fact that according to Jamie Peacock, we cannot even consider increasing the Salary Cap as it would create a situation like the late eighties/early nineties where two or three clubs would dominate the game and some of the others would struggle to avoid administration.
