There's nothing wrong with the majority of footy fans Fraggle. It's only the minority that cause trouble for others, not disimilar to RL (been a few complaints in League Express recently). Football's just on a larger, more publicised scale.
Again, my "some" needed a bit more emphasis, it is only a small percentage and they're not really fans of any sport. We've got enough people like that following our sport, we don't want any more. Having said that, if the text messages in my newspaper every day are anything to go then all soccer fans seem to be foul-mouthed, aggressively partisan and not particularly rational people incapable of the kind of logical discussions we have on here!
Unfortunately, all media eyes turned from football to the cricket in todays papers. A cricket commentator was commenting on how much better coverage they were getting and how their sport is on the up, getting 5 pages in the nationals.
But what happens after the end of the Ashes series? Like the Yawnion world cup team, after a short period of time interest dwindles to the point where Johnny Whatsiface barely gets a mention in the media anymore, and they're more bothered about Clive Woodwoodwoodwood working at Southamption soccer club.
