Wigan v Hull KR
Re: Wigan v Hull KR
Exactly PM and potentially puts pressure on players in other positions. We needed cover for out back rowers not a FB. We wasted an opportunity to blood Bretherton too.
Re: Wigan v Hull KR
The play makers need all the time they can get together.
Powell was fine. We look a bit silly as a club saying Micky Mac cannot play the full 80 but Powell can and suddenly deciding oh lets rest him to give a debut to Waterworth because we like him. I am struggling to find what he has done recently to deserve his debut and what Bretherton or Burke did not to get an opportunity. The club and coach look stupid. A fullback on the bench is comedic and poor duty of care for our forwards who would have gained far more from Bretherton or Burke.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I enjoyed the game. We were rubbish in the first half and good in the second. Over the 8 games to date, missing huge numbers of important players, we are 7 from 8. All that matters at this stage is keeping on keeping on. Aside from Wire, who have not had any significant injuries yet, everyone else has lost at least 3 games. Against that backdrop, anyone taking a wider perspective must conclude that we are going well, and have been well coached. Every other team in the league, aside from our opponents on Friday, would give their right arms to be where we are. They have built up enough credit - especially from Friday's game - to deserve a bit of slack.

Only joking.

But I'm a rational human being. And I think it was entirely reasonable to not force a stand in hooker to play 2 sets of 80 mins in the space of 3 days, then do it again on a short turn around. Especially when everyone agrees that playing hooker for 80 mins is the toughest job on the park hence few teams have a regular 80 min hooker. I'm not sure why CP is so worked up about that.cpwigan wrote:Any rational human being. Tierney for sarge with sarge on the bench is more unusual, but I've got nothing particular against the coach rotating his squad especially at Easter. I think sarge should have been given the match off completely if he needed resting though, but I guess injuries required both to play.

It seems to me that any rational human being has accepted that it was a good 2 points from what is a tough Easter weekend!! 4 points from 4 will do for me!!cpwigan wrote:Any rational human being. What certainly is a slow process is your continual moaning about SW in some way, shape or form! Now you feel free to keep going but ultimately all you will ever be is words on a screen, but please continue no matter how frustrating it must be having so much knowledge only to be able to share it with about 50 strangers!!
