Most interesting comment for me. Looks like they didn't have to try too hard to beat Wigan's offer.cpwigan wrote:Yes. Here is the full versionTrueBlueWarrior wrote:Strange comment!!cpwigan wrote:Diamond Sale Main Man

Charnley & Sarginson to leave

Fixed your typo. The pedestal you and others are putting Manfredi and Budgie on just so you can make out Josh isn't as good is as stupid as it is pathetic.cpwigan wrote:Agree Odd that plenty bagged both Josh and Sarge but now the club is at fault. I can never remember Dave O screaming blue murder when Josh was dropped for Budgie or Manfredi. Within 24 hours Manfredi and Budgie have become Martin Offiah, Eric Grothe, Jason Robinson etc etc.thegimble wrote:We lost a better winger in Joe Burgess after the first 3-4 bad games than Josh is now. Hopefully we will tempt Burgess back with the money and tie Manfredi and him to a long contract and keep them to it.
If not Carney is the only winger I would go for from SL apart from Ryan Hall but he ain't moving. Carney been decent over the last 3 years whilst most others have a decent few games a year and go awol after.

Offiah did absolutely nothing but score tries, judge him however you want.cpwigan wrote:I never judge any winger on tries scored BTW. Josh scored a hattrick v Hull KR. How good was that?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
Re: Charnley & Sarginson to leave
He scored tries nobody else could score and won games that nobody else could. Those qualities made him a far better winger than simply scoring 100, 200, 300 etc tries. The booze hound wrote:Offiah did absolutely nothing but score tries, judge him however you want.cpwigan wrote:I never judge any winger on tries scored BTW. Very simple
If Budgie, Manfredi and Charnley were still here who gets dropped and who would you drop?
I know my answer is Charnley for both.

For sure and they do pay significantly more than League clubs can and do.
