Whenever they got near our 20m line, they looked dangerous whereas when we reached their 20m line, we as usual were running around like headless chickens without making any real headway.
Unless we sort out the major problem at half back, we will continue to struggle this season, irrespective of who is playing in the other positions or is missing because of injury.
I have been supportive of Wane as the Head Coach, but I now have to admit, that perhaps a change of direction is needed in the way of coaching at the club with the appoinment of a top class experienced Coach from down under.
Without any of the usual personel abuse, what do others think?
I think your about right for me.
Everyone is on Smith's back again, and compared to Sandow's performance i can see why most folks would come to that conclusion. I really don't think it's just as simple as that though as Sandow was playing behind a very dominant set of forwards.
Comparively there was the roughly the same number of carries, but Wire made 400 metres more than we did.
Comparing the forwards - Ashton Sims 106 metres, Chris Hill 172 metres, Clarke 92 metres, Currie 85 metres, Jack Hughes 101 metres Westwood 108 metres, Cox 55 metres, Westerman 85 metres.
Against our lot - Clubb 43 metres, Mossop 38 metres, Gregson 91 metres, Joel 53 metres, Farrel 111 metres, Isa 11 metres, Burke 38 metres, Tautai 58 metres, Sutton 14 metres.
Thurston wouldn't be able to make any difference behind that performance, or alternatively, Smith could have made a really good job behind their pack.
I was really impressed by Gregson and Higginson even though it was a bad night.
