What has Rocky achieved in SL in the game he has played. If Cas do not play him at 6 week in week out then you have to question can he make the jump from Academy to SL. He was poor for us as a FB.

Tbh I don't think rocky has shown anything that people on here seem to think he can do. That being said my point is - he will not be back at Wigan, wane clearly doesn't rate him and he is the law

Logan - loan then gone
Hughes - loan then gone
Taylor - loan then gone
Rocky - loan then *****

Rocky needs an extended run in his natural position of stand off. He's not set the world on fire as a fullback because he isn't a full back.

His best game for us was last season when he was 18th man and had to take Williams position of stand off when he pulled up in the warm up.

Rocky has that x-factor that the likes of Smith don't and is very good at backing up breaks, something else that Smith is poor at.

Sadly, despite their excellent interaction in the u19s, Wane does not want Rocky and Williams to play together which I think is to the detriment of our attacking game.

I agree that Wane is big boss and its his way or no way until his boss tells him to sod off.

Logan is not good enough from what I had seen seems Powell is developing into a better player than I though he would when MM got injured.

Hughes unfortunately for him where we are really strong he would have spent his time here on the bench if lucky.

Taylor I have no idea what happened to him 2013 very good then seeme it went pair shaped. Was it him wanting to go to Hull FC and we would not deal hi so farmed him to Salford to pay him back?

Rocky has a 3 year contract he has 12 months to impress at Cas and then pre season its up to him but ne needs to show it as if Todd Carney is available then I think he is done for us.

If Todd carney is available I'd move mountains to get him but my understanding was the reason he never got to Huddersfield was visa issue which was why he was in france

Do not expect Williams back any time soon
Jake Shorrocks is the halfback you're thinking of but he is still out injured and won't be back until May or June. Joe Shorrocks who has just played for England academy is a loose forward and is still an U16 scholarship player who is at St. Peters Orrell. I don't think that they are related btw.

Yes, it was Jake. Cheers. Shame as when fit he shows talent and potential.

Hampshire played at full back for Cas today and played well.He was safe under the high ball and dangerous when he linked into the line.
From what I saw of him at Wigan he played some decent games at full back there too,in particular against Saints and Widnes after which Wane left him completely out of the squad.
That should have told Hampshire no matter how well he played (Phil Clarke on SKY said he had a brilliant game) Wane didn't want him for whatever reason.
In the 3 full games he's played at Cas at half back his work rate and defence has been very good making 28,25 and 32 tackles..in attack he's not shone as much..OK v Leeds but against Wire & Cats the forwards were totally outgunned.
I just can't see under any circs Wane recalling him to Wigan.
