Why is it........
.......... a team, that was suffering from injuries & a virus, that is still running through the club, only warrants two pages of comments with a hard fought win against Castleford Tigers when still not fully fit, yet.......
...... last week, still seriously depleted through injuries & at the height of a severe virus running through the club, lost against a team that was riding high on confidence with four good wins, " v Wakefield" merits 12 pages of comments & arguments & in the "Anybody stressed???" thread, 5 pages?
I find it very strange! ????????????

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Because they like to whinge Josie. They can't give club any credit when they win

Would be interesting to know how many of the most fickle actually go to a live game and not just watch Sky or listen to Wish FM.
Quite a few judging by the crowds we get for the big games!

You're quite right Josie - think it's a little old thing called human nature. We all want the team to win each time they play but we also seem to think they are super human and don't suffer or be debilitated by viruses like the rest of us are and that they should play each game like its the grand final. Realistically it's just not possible but having said that last weeks result was still a shock but it's also last week's chip paper now and at least we're not Leeds fans
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

No idea Josie but I am not sure there is much 'love' for SL/RL at this present time.

Think it's a good point cp - think many fans are actually starting to dislike rugby league, I certainly will hold my hands up and say I don't look forward to games like I used tocpwigan wrote:No idea Josie but I am not sure there is much 'love' for SL/RL at this present time.
A lot of it has to do with (and I don't know if this is just idolising memories) but in the past teams would have injuries but 90% of the team was playing so you knew the players and it was strong squad vs strong squad
Lately it seems every team has 6-10 first team players out and it's a glut of unknown players in every game
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure

Josie the most active I have seen this forum is 2006. People only tend to post negatively on line. For example look at holiday reviews people tend to go online to complain more than praise. Same on here also Wakey game was in the afternoon Cas was in the evening that might skew it a bit more.josie andrews wrote:.......... a team, that was suffering from injuries & a virus, that is still running through the club, only warrants two pages of comments with a hard fought win against Castleford Tigers when still not fully fit, yet.......

Re: Why is it........
I have said it for years, we win hardly anything, we lose pages and pages of negativity all usually from the same posters that never post after a win. For me there are 2 explanations either these certain posters enjoy moaning which I find strange or they are trolls!!josie andrews wrote:.......... a team, that was suffering from injuries & a virus, that is still running through the club, only warrants two pages of comments with a hard fought win against Castleford Tigers when still not fully fit, yet.......

Re: Why is it........
I actually agree with this as I don't get the 'buzz' I used to get from RL at the moment, however that isn't a reason why certain posters only post after defeats and actually usually during the game only to disappear when we win or are winning!!Wigan_forever1985 wrote:Think it's a good point cp - think many fans are actually starting to dislike rugby league, I certainly will hold my hands up and say I don't look forward to games like I used tocpwigan wrote:No idea Josie but I am not sure there is much 'love' for SL/RL at this present time.
