Sutton to be rested
Says on Wigan Today that Wane is planning on taking Sutton "out the firing line" I assume after the Cas game
There was quite a telling quote in the article though where wane says
"He loves the fact we pick his game to pieces - he's not one of those who thinks he's been there and done it"
To me that right there is the reason we aren't getting top end players at the club coupled with IL the penny pincher
That just sounds to me like "he's not got an opinion of his own which is just how I like them"

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
Re: Sutton to be rested
Could be the opposite actually.
Could be the reason why some of our senior players this season haven't been good enough, because they think they're either better than they are or have a certain arrogance about them.

Re: Sutton to be rested
Played very well and ran very hard the last 2 games barring a few silly errors but I wouldn't exactly say he needs bringing out of the firing line for having 2 good games, what about the 15 average ones before those 2? Is this not 100% proof that if you play more minutes you gain more confidence hence your form will improve? Youngsters need minutes in the competitive environment to improve.

Re: Sutton to be rested
Hasn't Ryan Sutton come back from injury after missing the start of this season?
If that's so, why does he need a rest.
Apart from a couple of schoolboy errors on Saturday I thought he looked well, very strong and doing the hard yards expected of any prop forward.

No I dont think he was injured but I totally agree the last couple of games ive been singing his praises and he's been our best prop going forward.Panchitta Marra wrote:Hasn't Ryan Sutton come back from injury after missing the start of this season?

No. I think he's saying that the kid isn't arrogant and is always willing to learn and improve. Basically he's saying he has a good attitude and wants to get better. That's how I read it anyway.Wigan_forever1985 wrote:Says on Wigan Today that Wane is planning on taking Sutton "out the firing line" I assume after the Cas game

So did I Mark &, dare I say, when I have spoken to Ryan, he is a well mannered & sensible young man who is wanting to learn & be a successful player.markill wrote:No. I think he's saying that the kid isn't arrogant and is always willing to learn and improve. Hopefully for Wigan for a very long time

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I like him too.
He does need to get up and down Rivington with that gut though!
For someone so young it's shocking!
