Bateman linked with NRL move

A lot of the NRL players have been Bateman`s situation, I remember Bird coming to play for Catalans because he was accused of bottling his girlfriend. She dropped the charges and he is now back in the NRL.
It takes 2 to fight so shake hands and lets get on with playing rugby.
I for one would be delighted to see him back in the side.

I understand the club has it rules on players and how they conduct themselves but we must keep our best players. Leeds stood by theirs as have Salford and yes wigan in the past with Hock. So team management and player welfare and guidance must play it's part. Keep JB put under the club's wing. Keep our replacement for lockers. And we may become treble winners

A lot seems to depend on a players profile and standing in the club heirarchy. Remember Martin Aspinwall and Jon Clarke, same age as JB and both fired off to other clubs for fighting in town. (Not with each other).
