Just back from Huddersfield, great atmosphere, great performance from the youngsters coming through, cant wait for next season but what about that last kick from Carney and his reaction when it went over! You would have thought we had just won the GF.He has been a great entertainer despite injuries in recent seasons, sad to see him go

And the rest of the teams reaction. It did feel like we'd won something other than just our last game. Good turn out again from the Wigan fans, bit disappointed about the Hudds lot. Notmany at all. Carney didn't want to leave the field, it is sad to see him go :(

Its a start to him playing well for the tri nations i bet ya lol.

It is sad to see him go but its a shame he hadnt put the same effort in and been more fit this year.

I wish him the best of luck, and in away im glad we wont have the worry of how many games he may be able to play next season.

Fantastic game all round for captain carney :) That kick at the end was superb, better than danny tickles (on occasions), why didnt we find this goal kicking genius sooner?!

Sad to see him go

As much as I have slagged him off for asking for his realease to go to Newcastle and his never ending inuries, he was a favorite of mine and i was a little sad today when it sunk in that he wont be with us next year, he took the ball in well today and finished off a superb move, and the kick was priceless, he cleared the top of the posts with it. Very emotional end to his Wigan career, and it was good to see a got a great send off from all the fans who were there today. I dont Like what he has done regarding his contract, but it is now or never as far as trying somthing new, he is 29 after all, I wish him luck. His and the other players reaction was worth the entrance fee alone when he converted the last try.

I like what he's done more than what Faz did, at least he had a bittt more honesty! I've not had too much good to say about him this year but he was pne of my favourites before this year, very good personality. It's always sad to see someone go, I cried my eyes out when HP left but I think today was extra emotional for him knowing the season we've had and seeing all those fans come to an away match and cheer like they'd won a trophy, he wanted to take it all in, think he must have walked backwards all the way to that tunnel bless him!

Brian's come in for a lot of criticism from the crowd around me recently which is unfair. I think they expect him to score with every touch but he always gives his all. The atmosphere today was great and some of the rugby the best I've seen all season. I agree with the earlier comment about Faz. He let the team down as he must have known he wouldn't be playing for us this season yet we had to include him in our salary cap, then when everything became official it was too late to do anything about it. What did he tell us the day after the Challenge Cup last year when the team came home to the JJB? He said he'd be there to win it for us this year.

Anyway, apart from the odd game, the lads have worked hard this year with a lot of injuries. And what's more, the fans have answered a lot of critics and stood by the team. The players deserve a rest and let's look forward to next season.

I am very sad to see Brian go. Saw him on saturday in Next on the middlebrook. Gave him my best wishes and he seemed really happy that we said this to him.
