As a 2016 member we are delighted to inform you that Wigan Warriors have today signed NRL Grand Final winner and World Cup finalist Frank-Paul Nuuausala from Australian NRL club Canberra Raiders.
Nuuausala joins Wigan with immediate effect on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The club has started the process of applying for a visa and anticipate his arrival in the UK in a few weeks’ time.
Nuuausala, who is 29, made his NRL breakthrough at Sydney Roosters in 2007 where he enjoyed great success playing over 150 first team games and winning an NRL Grand Final and World Club Challenge. Nicknamed the ‘wrecking ball’ for his ferocious style of play, he has played 15 times for New Zealand including appearances in the 2010 Four Nations Final and the 2013 World Cup Final.
He joined Canberra for the 2015 season and played in all 24 NRL games for them last year.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
