There's an article on wigan today, but it doesn't tell you much really. Might make the Wakey game at home or his home debut could be against Saints.

Still in aus at the moment though...

They're going to love that over on Redvee. More ammunition to fire at KC, They had him stitched up and then lost him.
Is this a repetition of the Adrian Shelford saga back in 1987 or thereabouts?

Whatever private and confidential issue he had couldn't be resolved and the club/management dealt with the issue and all now resolved with ranging free to clear up his private and Confidential issues.

As I said on the Brierley thread he was a bad Apple, also read what I said about there being 2 or 3 more issues that would get resolved and they have.
Seems a much happier camp
Tell you what I see. You choose to be private and confidential when it suits you. But quick to try to ridicule and call players (on a open forum of all places) who dare to dislike somethings. Like you said be carefull because your postings can have a habit of biteing back legally as for the other 2 or 3 resolved and settled with a much happier camp. Are you sure. Answer this any way you want. But please be honest.

I choose to be private and confidential when it suits? Not sure what that means?
Have I ever come on and said I know something blah blah but can't tell you as its private and confidential?
Have I posted things that are p&c (because if I have I'm sure I would have heard about it before now).
I said that clubs have to be careful when it comes to certain personal issues, I've NEVER said I'm being p&c over anything.
If you care to read I was responding to butt monkey's claims that I said something I Never said.
As regards me having to be careful over what I wrote than I'm afraid there are many many more who need to be careful before I do.
Calling a player a bad Apple is my opinion, take it or leave it.

Now then if you want me to answer the last question yeah I'm sure that now 2 or 3 other issues have been resolved (2/3 months ago actually) things are quieter and calmer.
Interested to hear your views on that?

I'm sure Butt Monkey can fight his own battles to be honest and seeing as he jumped in on a quoteathon I was having with DaveO to say I said something I didn't I'm sure he will have his two penneth shortly.

So unless you can be a bit more specific about what I've done/said wrong that got you so irate ill leave it at that.
Mods, if I have breached any rules then please advise?

Thanks for reply. No sorry my views will be kept private and confidential. Although I don't agree with it especially The bad apple bit. You did say it was only your opinion not all. I respect that you have a view just like I have. But will agree to disagree.Just my observation of your posts.

That would depend if you could prove any changes to the squad aren't for other reasons.

Are you expecting Bateman or another player to leave this season for example?

Oh and just to add, regardless of this point I am excited at the prospect of watching him play THIS season. Makes a nice change not having to wait.
But it's Ok for you to say Wigan were talking Poo when you can't prove that Wigan were talking Poo?
Well unless Wigan specifically say Player "X" has gone out on Dual Reg or Player "Y" has been sold to wherever to satisfy Salary Cap regulations then I won't be able to prove it.
That will be Wigan's decision if they word it that way - However I'm pretty sure "If" it happens then we can put 2+2 together and agree that's why they would have done it?

So Yes I am expecting adjustments to be made to the Squad given what the club have said previously
Well for a start your original contention is wrong. It is not about player numbers. It is about players becoming eligible to be included in the club's salary cap, which they will be by playing in a salary cap relevant match such as a league game.

So using a lot of players who otherwise don't count on your cap, as it is possible for junior not to, can take you over the cap if you do so.

You can get around this though because the rules allow you to apply for dispensation if if injuries would force you to play players not ready for 1st team duty as a duty of care for example.

This is all in the SC rules which I have read myself posted on here before.

So if by Wigan using all these players this took them to the cap limit as claimed by some people but now they sign a new player this season as they have done, something does not add up. Hence my point you objected to.

Not sure what keeping your views private and confidential means? No-one is saying that people can or can't post their opinions, I was pointing out to Butt Monkey that the Club, just like any employer, cannot always be 100% open with the public as they have to keep certain information out of the public domain if it's employee wants it to remain P&C.
On the Bad Apple bit We'll agree to disagree
With regard to your observation of my posts then obviously I can't influence how you interpret them however If as I said I have written something that released information that I shouldn't have then I don't mind it being pointed out to me.
As far as I am aware everything I have ever written has been my opinion based on numerous things.

I however often feel frustrated that posters are allowed to bad mouth or portray club/management or players (And sometimes other posters) in a bad light based on nothing more than rumour and regurgitate it as fact.

Dave
Really, really not being funny here but I don't understand the middle bit of your post?
I completely accept (And I have acknowledged this more than once) that your knowledge of the Salary cap far outweighs mine.
My understanding of the Wakefield issue is that Wigan were close to the cap limit and Wigan had to seek clarification & maybe dispensation to play younger players as they would have gone over if not agreed with RFL (You would be better explain the rules etc.).

What I can't understand is your opinion that this was a Pile of poo because we sign FPN when we don't know what Wigan have/haven't done to accommodate that signing.

"If" Wigan do not release or make other arrangements and sign/play FPN then I will agree it sounds a bit fishy/weird.
However
"If" Wigan do release etc. players then I stand by my earlier comment that what they said about the Wakefield game and dispensation etc. wasn't a "Pile of Poo".

Of course there were options, the club could have released players then to make way for a new signing.
Not sure if the right players were available or if that type of short term thinking i.e. release 3 juniors to get a "Squad" player in (with no longer term requirement for said player just to get through a few games)would be the right way to go at that point however that would be an opinion and if that's the way you were going with it then fair do's.
