Why go for Eastmond when we have Shorrocks?

doesn't he play centre in union? Maybe that would be his position in league also although he was originally a half back

Can't see Eastmond coming back to RL. Wire were after him a couple of months ago he turned them down and signed a new 2 year contract with Bath.

It would surprise me if he chose Wigan over Sale.
After these years you'd expect him to be used to Union style salaries.
At Wigan a far lower salary for a far tougher game!.
It really would surprise me if he came here.

I'd be very surprised if we signed Eastmond but I do feel that we'll need cover at centre. When Sarge goes we'll have Gells and young Gildart (happy with both) but any injuries (Gells has missed plenty of games these past two seasons) and we're a bit thin. Higginson has promise but didn't look ready earlier in the season. Will he be ready next season or will we rely on using Bateman as cover?

I see that Waney seems to be implying that we may have already completed our business for next season. Any thoughts about my previous point about us looking a bit thin for cover in the centres next season or is Waney just bluffing again?
