In what way mate?

I honestly believe he has talent as a centre. Second season form dip is pretty common place too (hope it's his second season :) ) I just think the guy has more rugby league know how than some are giving him credit for. He hits a gap superbly at his best, has a decent step and can pass the ball quite well. Has he played well this year. No I would say but I do think there's a rugby player in him. I came to the conclusion Aspy had reached his best, likewise Wild.

Could be totally wrong though :D

i just dont think hes a good player and definately not a stand off he cant pass, he cant kick, hes too small to be a centre and i was really disappointed when the club renewed his contract and hes an overated player. But this is just my opinion.

No worrys. I know I'll be a minority view and to be fair he's not done anything other than deserve the criticism people are levelling at him. From what I can read, the club are going to release many U21's and push the 18's into the 21's to make room for a crop of 16 year olds they herald as the best for a long time. I believe Millward must see something in Brown, enough to give him a chance but equally he's got Gleeson/Goulding/Walker coming through as centres to take the mantle so to speak if Brown fails to improve.

Time will tell I suppose and at the moment I backing somebody at long odds, almost a donkey :)

BTW, a boulter to look out for as a forward is Kavanagh. He's a big lump of a lad and every time I see him I think he's got class. Jewitt has been very good to for the Academy teams.

ONE BIG PLUS, Millward attends academy matches, I may be wrong but I was led to believe Betts rarely did. This season I've not seen him. Millward/Bell attend every match, I've seen Farrar too.

Betts and Farrar were at the loss to Bradford that Thursday night, both of them were sat inside the clubhouse, believe Dean Bell was there too

I haven't watched the lads as often as I would have liked, but from what I have seen, I agree with much of what people have said. I think Scully has looked much better in the last few games since Millward has been coaching him, and could see him really taking off.

I think Hargreaves will move ahead of Seu Seu during next season.

I cannot believe we are spending good money on DV. he can't even run.

I would have kept Brown ahead of Aspy, every time, as he can beat a man. His judgement is suspect, but that is because he tries too much - given how Millward is working wonders on Scully, there must be hope he will do the same with Kevin.

I was sad to see Wild go, as I thought he had much more raw talent than, say, Aspy, but he perhaps flatters to deceive.

Moran and Orr could both do very well behind a pack filled with skilful ball players. Both Fletcher and Lockers can share the distribution and organising role. Moran is an excellent support player, but nothing much more than that - if we can get him playing in that role, so much the better.

Well done to Godwin - several classes above Mark Smith, and bound to get better.

I wonder whether Hansen will fill out enough to fulfil his potential.

I like the look of Tomkins and Gleeson. Both could be stars.

V excited about next season (if only we could sign another 3/4 and, better still, ditch DV)...

dave i also worry about scully every time he takes the ball up i just think hes going to offload and give it away to the opposition
Yes because every offload scully has made this season has gone to the opposition, are you people resistant to admitting scullys offloads have improved dramatically and now he only offloads at appropriate times????? :conf:
It doesn't matter whether they have imporved because Reputations don't vanish overnight. So to stop being worried that he will lapse into his old habits again I for one need to see him play consistently well for longer than a few games.
