Oh I think he has! He has cost us games by utterly stupid play someone of his experience should not be making.

At the Bradford game early in the season it was his mistake that set the Bradford revival going. He had just scored a try and was showboating to the crowd. Next minute he makes a break down the left and passes the ball into touch in his own 20m area.

I could cleary see him NOT LOOK where he was passing it.

So not only was the pass poor it was a poor decision to try the pass in the first place given the score at the time and his position on the pitch. There was simply no need for it.

Bradford scored from the next set of six after the scrum.

The other stand out cock-up was how he handed Hull the game on a plate at the JJB. It was the last tackle of a set of six. Brown was marking the centre, his winger had the Hull winger covered. The Hull centre made a poor, high, looping pass that meant the winger was going to get buried once he caught it.

What does Brown do? Tries for the interception. He could not quite reach it well enough to catch it so bats it into touch.

So instead of us getting the ball oon the turnover Hull have a scrum in our 20m areas and score from the next set of six.

Both games lost by the odd point or two.

Both incidents at either end of the season so no imporvement shown in his decision making and he now has about as much experience under his belt as O'Loughlin.

It wasn't just two incidents though. He has held onto the ball when he shoul dhave passed and passed when he should not all season. I just don't think he is aware of what is going on around him.

He also has no kicking game so can't be a stand off.

Soi can anyone tell me a bit of outstanding play from him this season that warrants the new contract?
From what I can read, the club are going to release many U21's and push the 18's into the 21's to make room for a crop of 16 year olds they herald as the best for a long time. I believe Millward must see something in Brown, enough to give him a chance but equally he's got Gleeson/Goulding/Walker coming through as centres to take the mantle so to speak if Brown fails to improve.
That is why I can't understand us giving him a new two year deal. He should, like Wild and Aspy have improved by now more than he has and I can't see where he will get a game next season unless injuries kick in.

Millward is going to have to work miracles but although I don't know the player personally I have heard he thinks he is God's gift so we will see what Millward can do with that.

I just dont see what some people see in Kev Brown. He cant tackle very well, he is often caught out in defence tactically. He can kick to save his life, he passes without looking. Hes not strong enough to knock players off, he doesnt have any real pace or a great step. So what does he have that some of you seem to see that I dont, dont reply with hes a young talented player, reply telling me what you see that I dont, what is this talent.

I'm openly saying he deserves to be criticised and my view is a minority one I.E that he the talent. People say what talent. Well what I saw because it hasn't been on show this season was a young kid with a precocious ability to time a run into a gap in the defensive line. A decent step helped by a tall slim body and very useful pace. Tackling wise, decent. I do not see him as anything but a centre. He may think he's a stand off, I personally do not.

I'm backing somebody who does not really deserve it. I'm also prepared to give Seu Seu a second chance when he returns free from injury. I keep backing Sculthorpe because I do think he has talent.
