So to summarise you went to University (Polytechnic?) and got a 2.1 and somehow that shows why the grammar schools are a bad idea......hmm. We will have to disagree on that one.

I have no idea how much a binman earns. Say it's £20k for sake of argument.
Surely if people are not willing to do that job for £20k then the raise will rise? Is that really a difficult concept to grasp?
Economics is NOT a zero sum gain situation. If it was, we wouldn't be here typing stuff on our computers. We would be sat in a cave fighting over meat.
So your view of Socialism is that you "take out in proportion to what you put in". Excellent that's the benefit budget cut then.
Point re the miners. Free market? Since when has a closed shop arrangment been an indication of a free market?
