Gidley put his elbow into one guy 'after he had scored a try' and didn't even get called up before the beak!!!cpwigan wrote:Hopefully the club will appeal. It is a nonsensical ban. During the last two weeks (I haven't look further) 99% of players do not even get charged for throwing a punch. Frank was the victim, a stupid victime arguably but LSM / Saints went into the game with the intention of provoking Wigan players knowing the semi was the next game.

Why biased? LMS got carded too did he not its not clear if he bit him or not, gummed maybe a better way of describing it.shaunedwardsfanclub wrote:That's for the club's solicitor to work out. How about being biased against Wigan for starters?fozzieskem wrote:On what grounds could they appeal though? the punch was clearly shown on tv wasnt it?
Re: Nuuausala
Problem with the appeal is if it goes against you, it can be increased, although with what's at stake it may be worth the risk.

Frank Paul was bound to get at least a one match ban for the punch on LMS.
Someone should have warned him about the winding up tactics of the games biggest g*******

Is he going to be much of a loss? So far he's only been on the pitch 30 minutes and shown what a short fuse he's got. He's a liability at present!Nezza Faz wrote:Problem with the appeal is if it goes against you, it can be increased, although with what's at stake it may be worth the risk.

He is a bit at the moment Kitt, but he's got huge experience which is something we're short of especially in big games. Plus if he's out it makes the whole squad weaker in the forwards, with the likelihood Crosby is out as well.
Re: Nuuausala
Nothing to lose by not appealing it.
Even if they gave him an extra game for appealing it would only mean missing the first super 8's, which is wakey at home.

Didn't know they were gonna appeal!cpwigan wrote:Anybody heard how the Appeal went?
Think the club just accepted it after all the furore over Lockers & Tautai.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
