The freakish injury toll will be the convenient excuse. Some, not all are actually a result of poor tactics IMO.

All round Sam had a decent game but he is paid sily money to win games and for that you expect the young fullback that destroyed Wire with a chip and chase from his own 20, the scoots breaking from dummy half. I just hope he can find his zip and magic for 2017.
Is john Bateman being used correctly, he's an off the cuff player being used as a grafter aka typical prop forward coaching mentality.

Injuries are part and parcel of the game. We had two players suspended for this game and had far more over the course of the season (not forgetting the off field suspension). Seriously the discipline at the club is poor and who is to blame for that?

The biggest Room is the Room for improvement.

The best form of defence is attack!!

The focus of criticism for Wane and his tactics is the attack because it's glaringly obviously poor but it's taking the attention of issues like this.

There are plenty of other issues such as having the wingers cart the ball up as forwards and odd substitutions where players are replaced by the clock with little regard for what it going on on the pitch. We have had teams on the back foot and Wane has taken the players doing the damage off more than once. Some players get 10 or 15 minutes.

As someone else pointed out when the camera was on Wane tonight he was sat there as a spectator. He wasn't coaching at all.

Probably not but are any forwards used properly PM. We have forgotten about playing in and around the POTB; going straigh, fast, quick POTB. If you are smaller than the opp you should want a fast frenetic pace working the big forwards over time in defence.

In the Wane game plan. Bateman is used as a set up because he gets quick POTBs and Wane runs his set play from it or tries/hopes too. CRAZY IDEAS.

Just got back from the Keepmoat Stadium, maybe should have stayed at home.
Here are my views:
As many have said on this thread Hull FC was the better team. Their players played for each other, keeping the ball alive, showing enthusiasm all keen to be involved. Their game was run by Houghton. Quick playing of the ball, players stepping up to take the ball up, players taking on the line and busting tackles. They looked like a sharp, well coached side. A kicker in Snyed who gives confidence that he will convert the try, kick the penalty, getting the territory with his kicking game
As for us, the Warriors, and I know many on this site will disagree with me, our players lacked that enthusiasm. It is the same old game plays. You know what’s coming, as do every other side we play against. Our attack strategy is non-existent. Some of our players seem to lack the pride the wearing of the Wigan shirt as if they are there just to make the numbers up. Lack lustre at the play the ball, pick up the ball and then decide what to do with it, not fluid like Hull were. There did not seem to be any leadership on the field. I think Locker’s sell by date has been reached and been well passed. He should have considered his retirement last season for the benefit of the club. Smith missed two decisive conversions, not for the first time! His kicks for territory for penalties is abysmal making half, or less territory, than other teams kickers do, whilst his in play kicks are in the main of very little use. If he is our best we have a real problem.
It would have been a travesty if we had won this game, as Hull deserved it more. As for the future, the Warriors getting to Old Trafford is a nice dream that I think will be dashed as the squad we have at present will not be up to that task. I hope I am wrong, but somehow I don’t think I will be. :(

Yes we can blame Smith, like it or not he is our chief playmaker. There are more moves in a dead horse, can anyone please tell me what he brings to the team? What are is attributes?

When Powell began filling in for MM this season he did offer something attacking wise. However, he seems to be concentrating on the defensive side much more now, ala MM. Is this down to coaching?
SP is a better 7 than Smith.

GW would be better at 7 with Sam at 6 and Smith at Dewsbury
