Disgraceful support by our supporters.

Anyone who did not attend without a good reason of something more important or a genuine work commitment should be ashamed to call themselves a supporter.

All my working life, I have always made a effort to attend a special game, especially a Challenge Cup Semi Final, even it it meant booking a day's holiday or swapping a shift at work.

Fickle is the only word to describe many of our so called supporters today and I blame it it on our club having to many games on television which has made many supporters less inclined to make the effort.

it was a challenge cup semi final,

however that times posted are incorrect they ignore the giant 50 zone/rush hour traffic, i managed to get there in 2 hours, however some people it was taking over 3 hours due to traffic/ route they went.

was a disappointing crowd, more annoying was the lack of walk around from the players afterwards for the fans who had made the effort to go.
Exactly, when we played a evening cup tie at Oldham a few seasons ago, I got the coach to drop me off on the way back near to where I worked and went on a night shift.

As for the team not doing a walk round, you can hardly blame them when they saw the lack of support by us.

Bad enough to lose but to see that must have been a double sickenar fo rthem

Can one imagine a top 4 team in the Premier League taking that sort of support to an FA cup semi based on what their normal home attendance normally is - why did thousands of us not travel to the game ?

It looked all so wrong on TV , packed Hull ends of the ground with a few sections(if even that?) filled only by us! We are Wigan for goodness sake - something is not right here with that support?!!

My excuse for not being there to those who will accept it was 1) just returned from my summer hols & 2) was keeping money to fly over to London next month

A&L (just like Belfast!)
I finished work at five and didn't fancy going over the hill at that time, simple as. Now if that makes me a p poor supporter then that's what I am and have been since I saw Billy B when I was a lad!

I make the effort no matter what game it is, it doesn't have to be special!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I wish you would stop posting nonsense but hey that would mean not posting! Lack of effort. You really have NO IDEA about me or anybody else so it is far better you keep quiet! Safe to say I only watched the first half later as I only got back with a young child asleep after collecting my wife from work so HOW the F do you expect me to make it to Doncaster!! on a FRIDAY. Hey as an 18-21 year old making every game was EASY as it is for somebody retired now

You are a gobshite!

No it doesn't make you a p poor supporter. That was & is my argument with this & others complaints about the attendance!

The majority who are complained about the attendance didn't even go themselves! Bloody Hypocrites

Going over the M62 on a Friday is a nightmare at the best of times!!

There's no problem with me for those who didn't/couldn't attend for whatever reason but I'm not prepared to hear complaints about the attendance & complaints about those fans who did find a way to attend by those who didn't!
