I think that is a very good call. The added downside is that he is the current rep captain so also means an extra thing to "give up".sheepsteeth wrote:Much as I love him I think he should retire from England and give himself a big rest. Who knows that time to rest all his injuries might rejuvenate him. Jamie Peacock certainly benefited from International retirement.

The biggest Room is the Room for improvement.
The best form of defence is attack!!
Out of the black and into the red, remember you don't get anything for two in a bed!!

Re: Lockers
Someone like Sam Burgess with a big name and bigger salary would take a massive amount out of our salary cap.
Lockers has a lot of his salary
discounted due to his time at the club. SB or anyone like that would be a full hit on the SC.
SB is a very good player and who wouldn't want him at Wigan?
Lockers won't go on forever and his replacement will have to be a top quality player.
Whether there is a replacement at the club or we have to go and find one remains to be seen.
When Lockers is out there seems to be someone different at 13 almost every game so I'd deduce they haven't got a player at the club who they see as Lockers' successor.
