Smith would have made a big difference tonight imo.RJ wrote:We do not deserve to win anything. We have been clueless all season and have failed to improve at all. We need a couple of class centres and some fresh ideas. Williams needs a wake up call. Who said we don't need Matty Smith?

Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

Did I just hear that right? Betts said we (Widnes) should have won by 20 points? How low can we go? This isn't about the semis this is about the utter dire state of our club.
Before the happy clappers start. I didn't go and watched on tv. I haven't been to a game for a few seasons after 25 years as a season ticket holder as I have seen the decline of this club since Madge left. If my view doesn't count fine stick your head in the sand even deeper.

So you are happy with a loss? we could have drawn level with 20 minutes left on the clock, we would have had a better chance of a win if we had done so, instead we are the laughing stock againEast Stand Faithful wrote:Unbelievable that you are desperate to get a draw against a poor Widnes team.medlocke wrote:Could of got the draw there, why the fook didn't we kick the penalty, it is beyond belief, get the draw then try and win, a draw is better than a loss, now we knock on, try gone begging FFS.
Wanes position is now untenable. If he doesn't get sacked IFL needs to sell up.

We would be a bigger laughing stock settling for a draw against a very poor Widnes team. Go back 10 years and our reserves would beat widnesmedlocke wrote:So you are happy with a loss? we could have drawn level with 20 minutes left on the clock, we would have had a better chance of a win if we had done so, instead we are the laughing stock againEast Stand Faithful wrote:Unbelievable that you are desperate to get a draw against a poor Widnes team.medlocke wrote:Could of got the draw there, why the fook didn't we kick the penalty, it is beyond belief, get the draw then try and win, a draw is better than a loss, now we knock on, try gone begging FFS.

I'm done also until wane goes.
The best way I could describe tonite is that all our payers looked like they were playing with blindfolds on.
They clearly don't understand what they are being coached

I'm sorry but he was appalling widnes got away with murder. I've never seen so many high tackles happen before a sending off. Widnes took the pics and got away with it for the most partian b wrote:not sure he was that bad pal. That second try has to be the biggest case of momentum I've ever seen.
That said we were rubbish. I cannot believe we didn't take the two. That would of drawn the scores and we would have had the ball back to try the line/go for a drop.
That choice is down to the coach.
I normally stay positive but I can't today,
Looks like Tompkins Agent deserves a pat on the back, he's crocked and although he's still good enough to play he's not a marque
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Not been on here for some time however that terrible performance tonight was so embarrassing The whole coaching staff should be held responsible
what have they been doing for the last two weeks !
We have no idea how to break teams down and everybody knows it
At the end of this season there has to be changes accross the team
We need players of the calibre of Darrius Boyd who are proven finishers in tight games
