ATM I would take Hull over anyone they look shot but if they decide to rest up take even finishing 3rd or 4th if they can then they are the side I would avoid.cpwigan wrote:cpwigan wrote:I think we win a classic close low scoring encounter or we get slaughtered. IMO, if Hull score 18 points we lose. I am praying win.![]()
BTW, it changes nothing. We will lose v Wire. However, it might change one thing! If Wigan want to go to OT they need to face Hull in the semis because we have more chance beating Hull than Wire.
Question is will Radford learn from what Madge did not do in 2011.

Nail on head!thegimble wrote:Our attack again is predictable and so obvious what we re going to do same shift play same side.
Game is there for the winning but if we could attack like we defend then we would be a good side
Re: Forecast v Hull ?
Not a great 1st half, but some good tenacity in defence, I'm not bothered that hull bombed a few tries....tough luck. Second half I felt entertained by Wigan, they ran more direct and with more speed! Wigans fitness yet again gave us an edge in the last 20mins combined with some bruising defence and runs by Tautai, gelling, Bateman and Farrell. Not the prettiest win but I'm much happier than last week!

I thought we would get hammered still did after 60 min. Our attack is still crap. But the defence is unreal at times.cpwigan wrote:cpwigan wrote:May be heart ruling head but I am going to tip Wigan to win.

Re: Forecast v Hull ?
Hull FC Challenge Cup win and celebration has took its toll in the final 20 minutes of tonight's game.
Thought we got quite a few calls against us from Thaler, but I'd expect nothing less of him in a normal SL game.
TT and Gells were strong again as was Batty, with young Shorrocks putting in some great bootlace tackles. Tomkins had an absolute howler and looking way off his previous Wigan standard.
A win is a win, anyway it comes, but still see no silverware for WWRLFC again.

Considering how we played first 50 mins that was a very good win.
Our fitness was the difference IMO, Hull looked mentally and physically shattered the last 30 mins.
I'd like to know how long that game lasted in real time.

Tomkins made some massive errors, and then pulled out some great defensive plays. He needs a break and a pre-season to get ready for next year - but we might need some of his magic before the end of the season if we're going to pull the rabbit out of the hat.
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

The biggest ? is if Wane wants Wigan to win the GF they need to dispense with much of the structure plays and feed from of the cuff players like Tea Towel.nitsua wrote:Perhaps others will follow your example and call the MOM by his name and not Tea Towel; after tonight he deserves it. :smil:yokozuna wrote:Mr T!!!
Tautai and Gelling. Excellent effort.
