Well obviously FPN isn't the first to do the "double" but what do people think of him and his signing?

As most people know I think the signing of Bateman was the most inspired signing made by the club in a long time. While signing FPN doesn't get up there with that level I think it was a very astute move.

Whether it was because of Mossop and Clubb being out or we were on the lookout for a player I don't know but I think he added that little bit extra bite in the forwards. Crosby and Sutton are good young players but sometimes you need that bit of gnarled tough experience at the top level and I think he added that.

FPN is a mouth watering player,he attracts seeemingly Half the opposition to him when he has the ball,I don't think we have seen a fraction of what he can do yet.

Think its the best signing in terms of what we paid for FPN for this season given we were not paying all his contract. He is what we lacked since Coley left. Makes meters after the carry and defence is outstanding for a big man. Him and Clubb next season could terrorise teams.

Bateman I still can not believe Wire let him go from their grasp they had a deal for him. If they had Bateman on Saturday they may have well done the treble. Bateman is the best signing the club has done since I can not remember. Bigger name shave come Fielden, Barrett, Finch. Only player close to him for me was Hoffman but he was never staying. I bet on Saturday Tony Smith and the Wire owner were gutted they did not go through and sign him for 250k.

How much did we pay?

I found it a really interesting move midseason. He seemed to be going alright at Canberra but an influx of younger, bigger and more mobile forwards seemed to keep him out of the team.

At Wigan he's really grown into his role, just as a terror. Sure, he makes stupid errors and gives away silly penalties, but with that you also get an aggressive forward that mind you can play anywhere in the pack.

I've always observed him in the NRL as an opposition player, but am now happy to cheer him on.

Really looking forward to watching Big Frank next season, he has come a long way in a short time with us, watched him after the final whistle on Saturday he was absolutely made up, going to be a terrific signing.

If he settles in Wigan over the winter period and puts in a good pre-season stint I think we've got a top performer.
My concern is how much cap space he's taking up when it's rumoured that a player of Dom Crosby's quality is opting to leave. Dom was our stand on front rower on Saturday night and getting better as he matures. Can we afford players like Dom to leave to our closest rival, affording them a much improved set of props with Cooper also returning.

He is a wonderful player. He dents the line and has superb hands.
He seems to complement Tautai very well and between them they add an extra dimension.
One thing that puzzled me was how little time they gave him and Tautai on Saturday - though we had so many forwards no one had to do very long stints - especially after he terrorised Wire last time out.
He is an excitement machine.
