Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Me too! :)
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

If they want to run this kind of event then transfer it to the Challenge Cup.
Run it for the quarter finals, 8 teams 4 games over two games then after the final whistle in the last match have the draw for the semi finals.

Mind you I will watch our game v Wire on tv.

I agree totally.

No 9s IMO, move the magic to the C Cup.
That would give an even number of games in the fixture list.

My wish list would be 14 team SL with each team playing 26 games.
Then have a top three for the GF. The top of the League goes straight to the GF, teams 2 & 3 play off for the other GF place.

Magic be transferred to the C Cup. The final end of June.
Semi first weekend of June, Quarters first weekend May and last 16 first weekend of April. Magic to be at the Q final stage.

Lets just get the Magic away from SL and reduce the games played if only be one at this stage.
Although I totally agree with this there is one big stumbling block.......SKY have the rights and probably push it

Agree that the real stumbling block to reducing SL games would be SKY. They are paying increased money from next season and I can't see them agreeing to lose 5 weeks of Rugby.

The C Cup might be a different matter. The BBC have the rights and a change in format would not mean them losing the number of matches broadcast. It is their other summer sport that would get in the way that is tennis at Wimbledon.

What I mean is Sky wouldn't allow the Magic concept to be lost to the BBC
