Is the AJ bell stadium the coldest in rugby league, even in summer its bloody cold, today was a nightmare trying to keep warm, .

To the game as others have said foot of the pedal with regards to next week, first half though pretty good,Gells and young Lewis seemed to have cramp towards the end which seemed to hamper them but other than that all pretty good in that first half.

Long way to go of course and time will tell if the issues in attack have been put to rest but on the basis of that one half it leaves a nice positive note this chilly saturday evening.

A few more of the lads had cramp as well as those two Foz

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I thought faz was easily the mom...... nearly everything wigan did was down the blindside( which payed off)......excellent first have but were clearly told to ease up in the second half....... the ground is terrible and so is the car park

Farrell was excellent I agree. The others on his side were good too, particularly in attack which they didn't get much chance to do second half.

Shouldn't underestimate Tierney's try saver on Dobson, that was a great defensive play, but overall the intensity did seem lower in the second half.

tierney was outstanding and was runner up mom( for me)......clubb looked good when he came on......only downside was gells and FPN looked very unfit

Farrell ran 191 metres from 21 carries and was clearly the best player on the pitch. He's so underrated at superleague level it's untrue. The sky guys very rarely seem to mention him as one of the leagues better players.

I thought it was a good showing really. We eased up too much on the second half but Thaler did seem on a mission to keep it tight (we lost the penalty count 12-6). It was a good run out ahead of a tough ask next week.

Gelling might be in some trouble for that on-report 'tackle.' Depends on whether the RFL will want to set an example early in the season.

Well if the panel want an English team to put one over on the Aussies hope that they then give him penalty sufficient or a 1 match ban reduced to 0 for an EGP.

It will be sad if Gells misses out because he's not a dirty player.
