We are looking forward to ALL generations of our family watching the game on Sunday even if it means I have to miss out on reading up on how to be a good parent/grandparent . :D
Great, so glad you got it sorted JJ ????????????⚪

We bought a season ticket & took my nephew to his first Wigan game when he was six, he still sits next to me & he is now 25. His fiancée has just bought her first season ticket this season.

We now take our niece to games, she is on her second season ticket at the age of four(five in May)

She knows all the players names she sings all the songs, omitting any words she says are 'naughty'. And she throws a tantrum if we go to away games without her! She goes everywhere we go & this year will be her second visit to watch Wigan Warriors play Catalan.

She loves it.

We have the seats from Central Park in my Dad's garden of 4 generations of us that attended at the same time. Never thought anything was special about about it though, it just was.

The examples you give are structured for a reason yes however that is because your child is taking part! Taking a young one to a game is fine and for all you know the parents may leave at half time, or earlier if the child is sick or if the event is too much. As you say parenting.

They see it as a proud moment your opinion differs. I'm sure they have thought about it at great lengths and weighed up the pros and cons, again, parenting.

Like I said there is no manual we should all follow.

I'm not sure what where or why but in the last 18 months you have changed somewhat? Your opinions are not right or wrong nor or Josies they are only that an opinion!!

Yours however have a common denominator, they seem to be against the grain. If this site did die a death it would be a great shame and would probably affect you more than most given the amount of time you spend on here.

It's not so much that you offered an opinion it's the manner in which it was offered.
Pontificating is a great way to joss folk off and a sure way to get a response. Are you sure you were not on a wind up? :D

Four generations on the ground at the same time is a big thing. It's called passing on the faith. I do so wish I could have achieved the same.

I am the mother of the baby that you are talking about and whilst I understand my father-in-law's excitement at having a 4th generation Wigan fan/his first grandchild I did not ask for my baby or my parenting to be discussed on a public forum. I would be grateful if this thread could be closed/deleted. (I shall by the way, be taking my son to the game if I feel it is appropriate to do so on the day. As in every situation I will be taking joint responsibility for all aspects of his care along with my partner. There will be numerous other family members in attendance at the game and I would hope that he will be welcomed by his entire rugby league/Wigan family rather than being the subject of negative comments and opinions, although I fully appreciate there are those that won't agree with my decision)

Sorry about the hijacking of the thread by a certain poster.
No one, other than that individual, is questioning your parenting skills.

I hope you all have a great day.
