If IL has any common sense he will now reimburse all who paid for their tickets and ensure that all season ticket holders get this game taken off next seasons renewal.

Guaranteed unless we play the game if both us and Widnes are out of the CC its going to be a midweek game. Also Latics should cover the cost as they need us to do them a favour.

But we will get the usual TV special off IL and reason to why it was abandoned. On the weekend both Wire and Wigan gave RL a massive boost this weekend WE have become the laughing stock again. I feel sorry for the season ticket holders and people who purchased tickets for the game.

SL needs to dock us 2 points and give IL a fine unless he followed the RFL guidelines and a Ref mad the call. IF IL made the call then we have to be punished.

Latics loosing money hand over fist in an empty stadium a stadium built with central Park money, the clock's ticking for them
b----rds.

As for that whelan apologist lenegan he needs to seriously consider his position.
Yes bring back DW and the years of no trophies we had under him.

We like a good moan we have had bugger all to moan about since the last Widnes game.

My guess would be that IL will not have been able to do anything about it. There is obviously something written into the lease which gives Latics priority over the Warriors when push comes to shove. They've done it before, and this seems like just another day in Whelan's pocket.

Forest have a bit of a following and will bring a bit of revenue, and Latics are staring at the drop. Their parachute payments have gone, their crowds are down significantly. Sharpe will have made an executive decision that IL was stuck with.

The trouble is that we have our wagon hitched to Whelan through the stadium, and we are stuck with that for the foreseeable future

The way it's going for the Latics once Lenagan's tenure at the Football League is over he will be able to buy them for a quid if he wants to get back into club football.

Of course you're assuming Latics will still be IN the league of course

As for this, utter shambles but unsurprising given the state of the pitch on sunday, the Mrs commented on it on the day how bad it looked,so much for the cure all pitch relaying last summer?

Points to be docked? who knows if they unilaterally postponed the game without Widnes being consulted i can see that happening and a good sized fine too.

As for the poor people travlling to the game i do feel your pain it isnt really acceptable, but and dont shoot me here its the risk you take when you book hotels, travel etc a fair way from home,it happened to me when fleetwood mac cancelled the other year, train tickets, hotel all gone i knew the risks,so did the wife and she never fails to remind me too.

Play at Widnes ground tomorrow & play at the DW on 2nd July?
I agree totally Josie, surely that would be the obvious answer.

No intention of shooting you sir . You are 100% correct in what you say and it is a price we have to pay and we readily accept that.
Its just the manor in which the present owner just seems to roll over all the time then gives a load of lame excuses on Wigan TV being very apologetic that is annoying. I think he has too many fingers in too many pies (lol) . It is not just long distance Wigan fans that have been shafted this time its every Wigan RL fan .

See you all next week (I hope lol)

A few years ago when Latics were in Premier League we couldn't play a home game 24 hours before they played. Was that football rules or sky rules then? Now they're flying down the leagues it's not a problem unless it rains.

The only plus side is the lads will have more recovery time after Sunday, but I doubt they'll agree given the timing of the postponement.

We ground share with a football team.. So if we can not afford our own stadium then how about we ground share with a rugby league team? I know this is far from ideal but you can take a lot of pleasure from telling Whelan where he can stick his Stadium.
