On both fronts MM and ST should work to gain their places. On on one player I'm confident of a full return to his angry best and the other I'll wait and see.

Maybe he knows Doc Brown and gets to use the Delorean.TrueBlueWarrior wrote:Funny you question someone's balanced opinion when you can see in to the future!Wormburner wrote:and when it starts going tits up and we end up finishing in 4th place with no silverware due to costly errors made by said players, will you still be happy to force your opinion down everyones throat?

Which is all anybody with common sense would say so well said WW! Give them a chance to get fit and let's see what they can do! If it's not enough to remove SP and Escare, so be it!! Bottom line is competition for places is only a good thing, all top teams have that!!Wandering Warrior wrote:On both fronts MM and ST should work to gain their places. I think he's that failed clairvoyant on Phoenix Nights.

We've covered this in the past. There have been games I've said opposing hookers played better than him in and you've disagreed. He's your favourite player though. So I get it. You rate him more highly than me.TrueBlueWarrior wrote:
When was the last time Buderus, Houghton, Roby or Clark played well against MM?
For a 2nd tier hooker I find it amazing that when it really mattered none of them outplayed him, he had the better of them all!! He even bullied Cunningham in a GF!!

Would you replace escare with Tomkins now if Tomkins was fit?DaveO wrote:It is not about whether or not current players deserve to retain their places. It is about the attitude to injured players. Joel was past it and should not get in the side in front of players like Isa because he was doing well according to some when (in this example) Isa has never been as good as Joel.Panchitta Marra wrote:Do escare and Sam Powell deserve to lose their positions based on current form to be replaced by Tomkins and Micky Mac?DaveO wrote:But when he was out injured (as are Sam T and MM currently...) there was apparently no way he should walk back into the team....
I am sure some people can see where I am coming from here.
I agree what you say in an earlier thread about rotation, but when two player as in those mentioned are playing so well, it's difficult to see how changes should be made?
People are writing Sam off to justify wanting Escare to keep his place. It is starting to happen with MM as well.
Players currently in the team may be doing well but if Wane thinks the likes of Sam or MM will improve the side further he is going to pick them.
In any case I have stated my opinion umpteen times that I expect MM and Powell to share the hooking role so for them there isn't an issue anyway.

Anyone with common sense would send said players out on loan for a couple of games to gain match fitness like we have done in the pastTrueBlueWarrior wrote:Which is all anybody with common sense would say so well said WW! Do you actually see them being sent out on loan in your crystal ball?
They'll be OK!

Re: Joel Tomkins
I couldn't care less if they'll be alright, they should go out on loan then get a few games starting from the bench seeing as we have in form players already playing in those positions, would they be going straight back in if they where Gavin Clinch and Mark Smith, i think notWandering Warrior wrote:Do you actually see them being sent out on loan in your crystal ball?
