To put it simpler, your Aunty Angela hates Britain. How she remains Chancellor after her reckless opening of Germany's borders is beyond my comprehension.
Along with millions of others.
Except to the people who matter, the German voters.
They must see something in her if you don't despite your nonsensical and mythical accusations of an open border policy. Perhaps they have worked out there is no such thing as an open border policy?
Politically she is not my cup of tea (she's a conservative) but you are basically having a rant against her based on your own fantasies ("she hates Britain" - I mean really?) , not the facts.
Sorry Dave. I should really stop reading people like Littlejohn, as he's nowhere near as clever and as eloquent as you. I know my place. I never knew someone could bw right all the time.
No you need to look at that another way. Its not DaveO is right all the time
All this about the war is ridiculous
Harold McMillan our PM in the early 1960's tried to get us in the Common Market. He was an officer in the trenches in the First World War. Edward Heath who took us in fought in the 2nd World War.
It was because of their war experiences that they knew the best way to avoid further European wars was commercial and industrial cooperation.
As for Brexit, what a waste of time!
It is history repeating itself and also repeating history's mistakes.
The reason MacMillan and Heath had to do what they did was that the Govt in the early 1950's was asked if the UK wanted to join the newly to be formed European Coal and Steel Federation .
We said "No, we will sell to the Empire and the World" was the reply.
What a disaster! We were then a far bigger economy than France.
By the time Heath got us in in 1973 the French economy was 50% larger than ours and French people earned 50% more than we did.
The "We will sell to the world" then proved a disaster as it will for this lot who are repeating the failed actions and words of the past.
Brexit is a waste of time. If we leave within the next two years then we will re-join in a few years time. UK demographics will determine it. With the millions of U34 now on the electoral register the Leave majority has probably now disappeared. Trouble is when we re-join will get a far worse deal than now.
It depends on how much the Brexiteers damage our country.
But we will have our country back,350 mill a week on the nhs etc and all the other BS those toffs and hooray henries who backed the leave campaign prmoised the country.

You mean we where promised lies, i'm shocked, i thought only Labour did that
Let's is a contraction of “let us.” You use it to make suggestions about what you and someone else should do. Let's is NOT a promise

So if your happy for May to do a deal why are you moaning about Brown. Is that rather hypocritical
Hypocritical, yes, but not by me, others on this thread however, it's the way of the road
So I take your political answer of not answering the question that it was ok for May but not for Brown.
Which makes you the biggest hypocrite of all of us on here. At least this hypocrite blames both.
But your Tory mind just goes attack Labour as we Tories have no ideas or policies to talk about.
I for one couldn't care less if Labour had ended up with the DUP, i just find it Hypocritical of certain Labour fanatics on here slagging of May and the Tories for doing a deal when in fact their precious Labour party was after doing the exact same thing, my political loyalties lie with no one party, i vote for who ever sounds the best for me at that point in time
