Clubb - he's back

Post by yokozuna »

Listening on Wish FM (when it's working!), and it sounds as though Clubb had made an impressive return, including scoring a try under the posts.

We've missed his attitude and application. Great to have him back and him being healthy again.
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

So pleased for him. Such resilience must be contagious.
Today was the turning point.
Great work!

Noticed Clubby had a ice bag on his left elbow when he was banging the drum in the changeroom on the Wigan Warriors song.
Hope it's just precautionary.

And two half backs.
If George Williams is our marquee player we are in the s""t.
umpteen times again today died with the ball on the last tackle.
Bloody clueless.
Kicking game crap.
Passing game crap.
No idea how to lead the team around the field.
All too frequently for my liking he looks like a rabbit stuck in the headlights.
Devoid of ideas.
When Lockers goes off we fall to pieces. God help us when he retires.
I know a win is a win, and I'm glad of the 2 points, but it was bloody painful viewing.

I certainly don't think George Williams is clueless, but I do think he's

a) far from the finished article, and

b) in need of better support from those around him.
